The role involves supervising staff, coordinating risk assessments, providing guidance on audits and internal controls, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Substitutions may be allowed.
• Experience managing a team of audit staff.
• Experience with Uniform Guidance preferred.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in financial monitoring of department subrecipients to ensure compliance with state, federal and contractual requirements.
• Review and evaluate the agency’s internal operations for compliance with program objectives, policies and procedures.
• Oversee contractors performing financial monitoring of department subrecipients.
• Coordinate development of risk assessments, monitoring plans, schedules and tools for monitoring reviews.
• Provide technical assistance and interpret state/federal guidance to staff and subrecipients.
• Coordinate annual completion of the department’s Internal Control Plan.
• Manage subrecipient/contractor determinations for department contract actions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support external audits as needed.
• Hire, coach and train staff.
• Travel as needed to perform job duties.
