Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Registrar to greet, register, and admit patients at our Safety Harbor location. You will input demographics and insurance details, verify coverage, and obtain authorizations as needed.

You will also explain policies, answer routine questions, and coordinate patient intake and bed assignments while maintaining confidentiality and compliance. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, and basic computer proficiency, with at least one year of customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

Responsible for greeting and registering/admitting patients. Inputs patient demographics and insurance coverage into systems. Documents communications, actions and other data in systems. Gathers pertinent information in regards to patient insurance coverage to confirm the patient's financial obligations for services. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains required authorizations when necessary. Reviews forms/paperwork and obtains necessary consents and signatures from patient and/or family. Explains policies and procedures and answers routine questions. Works with others for patient intake/bed assignment. Follows all established policies and procedures to ensure patient confidentiality, data security and compliance with regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
