Job summary

East Side Animal Hospital, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant in Evansville, IN. This full-time position features day and evening shifts, with a focus on high-quality patient care and client communication.

You will support veterinarians during procedures, maintain medical records, and ensure cleanliness and readiness of equipment in a fast-paced clinic serving pets in the Tristate area.

Qualifications

• Registered RVT or RVT-eligible preferred; experienced Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply
• 1–2 years of veterinary clinic experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a positive, friendly attitude
• Detail-oriented and organized; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes; able to assist with procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist DVMs during procedures by restraining animals, conducting tests, monitoring vitals, and administering medications
• Maintain medical records and communicate with clients about procedures, treatment plans, and costs
• Maintain examination, treatment, and surgical suites and ensure equipment is calibrated and sterilized
• Support front desk duties as needed and provide compassionate client service
