Job summary

Stone Ridge Animal Care in Evansville, IN is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our three-doctor small animal practice. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, flexible scheduling with no nights, and opportunities to work with advanced equipment and a collaborative team.

You'll perform triage, nursing care, imaging, lab work, and assist with surgery and anesthesia, while supporting client education and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active RVT credential required.
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills.
• Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
• Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Comfort assisting with surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Experience obtaining diagnostic radiographs.
• Commitment to accurate documentation and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain histories, vitals, and initial assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide nursing care from intake through discharge.
• Safely handle patients using Fear Free techniques.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples.
• Place IV catheters and administer fluid therapy.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and run in-house IDEXX tests.
• Maintain medical records and educate clients.
• Support anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
• Maintain clean, organized clinical areas.
• Collaborate across the hospital to support team culture.
