Job summary

East Side Animal Hospital in Evansville, IN is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join Thrive Pet Healthcare. This full-time role (30–40 hours/week) includes day and evening shifts to support pets across the Tristate area.

You will work closely with veterinarians to provide end-to-end care, maintain medical records, and communicate treatment plans and costs to clients. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• RV T certification or eligibility required or preferred.
• 1–2 years of veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to multitask.
• Calm and effective in emergency situations.
• Willing to cross-train to front desk duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist DVMs during procedures by restraining animals, conducting tests, monitoring vitals, and administering medications.
• Maintain medical records and communicate with clients about procedures and costs.
• Maintain examination, treatment, and surgical suites and equipment.
• Confidently handle dogs and cats of all sizes.
