The MetroHealth System is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to support patient care across multiple MetroHealth locations, including main and regional centers. You will manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, participate in care planning with nurses, physicians and therapists, and travel between facilities as required.

Applicants should hold an active RRT credential, Ohio RCP license, and BLS; prior critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Active NBRC RRT credential.
• Ohio Medical Board RCP license.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide invasive and non-invasive ventilation management.
• Collaborate with RNs, PCNAs, Providers, therapists and other care team members to coordinate patient care.
• Travel to MetroHealth facilities as needed for coverage and patient support.

• Parma Medical Center

Patient Populations:

• Emergency Departments
• Acute Care Inpatient Specialty Units
• Adult Intensive Care Units
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Labor and Delivery
• Postpartum Care

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RRT will work with:

• RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
• Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification
• Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment.
• Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA
• Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA
