Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Per Diem / PRN – Tier 2. Schedule includes 2 x 12‑hour shifts per week with at least 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. Compensation is $51 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits program for full-time team members and opportunities for growth.

Minimum requirements include active NBRC CRT or RRT, BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Preferred: 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (agency RT by first shift; PRN staff by hire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
