MetroHealth invites a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join its team at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. The role involves invasive and non-invasive ventilation management, and coordination with RNs, physicians, and therapists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required are an accredited Respiratory Therapy degree and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist, plus Ohio RCP licensure; BLS is mandatory, with ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active Respiratory Care Professional license in Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Shift: 7p-7:30a; Rotating Weekends and Holidays

• MetroHealth Physical Rehab Institute
• Parma Medical Center
• Cleveland Heights Medical Center

Patient Populations:

• Emergency Departments
• Acute Care Inpatient Specialty Units
• Adult Intensive Care Units
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Labor and Delivery
• Postpartum Care

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Invasive and Non-invasive ventilation management
• Evidence-based patient driven protocol pathways

• Multi-disciplinary patient care management

Personnel RRT will work with:

• RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
• Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification
• Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment.
• Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA
• Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA
