Select Specialty Hospital in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN Tier 1 shifts. Compensation is $45 per hour with a 3x12 schedule over 6 weeks.

The role includes early orientation, tuition reimbursement, and clinical ladder opportunities to advance your career in a high-acuity setting. You will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care for critical cases, manage airway procedures, and contribute to quality improvement while supporting families and patients

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (agency RT must have ACLS on first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS on hire).
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
