Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our on-site team across multiple MetroHealth locations in the Cleveland area. You will manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation and contribute to patient-centered protocol pathways.

This on-site role requires RRT credential, Ohio RCP license, and BLS, with nights, weekend and holiday rotation. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for experienced RRTs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active Ohio Medical Board Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license.
• Current AHA BLS for healthcare providers.
• Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation as prescribed.
• Follow evidence-based, patient-driven protocol pathways.
• Engage in multi-disciplinary patient care planning with RNs, PT/OT, and other teams.
• Support and collaborate with the Respiratory Therapy team across multiple MetroHealth locations.

Personnel RRT Will Work With

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
• Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification
• Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment.
• Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA
• Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA
