Job summary

Ascension St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, seeks a Respiratory Therapist for Ascension Premier Staffing - Respiratory Therapy. The role offers flexible shifts, up to 36 hours per week, and a competitive weekly gross rate.

Local and national travel options may be required based on need. You’ll assess patients, implement care plans, perform advanced respiratory modalities, monitor conditions, and educate families.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date required (AHA/ARC accepted).
• Respiratory Care Practitioner or NBRC Registered credentials required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).
• Neonatal Resuscitation credential preferred (AAP).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and implement individualized care plans and monitor equipment.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and respond to emergency resuscitation codes.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
• Evaluate respiratory practices and medication administration based on patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and community resources.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• 1 year+ of recent RRT experience.
