Job summary

Dells Children Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join Ascension Premier Staffing. The role involves night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week, located in Austin, TX. Local and national travel options are available depending on need.

You will assess patients, provide advanced respiratory therapies, monitor conditions, and educate families while ensuring high-quality care and patient safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner or NBRC Registered credentials required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

• Assess patients to develop and implement individualized care plans and monitor associated equipment.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and respond to emergency resuscitation codes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• 1 year + of recent RRT experience.
