Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and to consult on therapy effectiveness. You will act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care and perform duties as assigned.

Requirements include a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. ER staff may require PALS; ACLS is preferred in some areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER staff; ACLS preferred in some roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
