Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for medical staff in respiratory care.

The role requires graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program and a current RCP license, with NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER staff, ACLS preferred, and duties include handling equipment and patient mobility

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER coworkers.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
