Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource to the team.

The role includes duties as assigned and requires an NBRC RRT credential with current RCP licensure. Graduates of CoARC-approved programs are encouraged to apply; ACLS is preferred and PALS is required for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements with RCP license.
• NBRC RRT credential required; PALS for ER role.
• ACLS preferred; ICU/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and outcomes.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Performs duties as assigned.
