Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all areas of respiratory care under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

The role requires graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, an active RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER coworkers; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS is required for coworkers in Emergency Room.
• ACLS is preferred.
• Must meet physical demands as described (push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl).

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
