Job summary

Ascension's Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis seeks a Respiratory Care professional for Pediatrics. You will implement pediatric respiratory protocols, manage advanced modalities, and document patient progress while educating families and coordinating referrals.

You may join the emergency resuscitation team to respond to critical codes. Minimum requirements include BLS within 30 days, Indiana RCP credential, NBRC Registered within 12 months, with

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee required.
• NBRC Registered credential required within 12 months of hire date or transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (ACLS/ALCS accepted).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care experience preferred; will interview new graduates
• RRT preferred
• Will consider a new graduate
