Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Respiratory Therapist in Charlotte, NC. This role involves managing oxygen delivery, ventilator support, and patient care across departments. You will document therapies and work closely with the care team in an on-site setting.

Licensure as an RRT with NBRC is required, state license, and AHA BLS. An associate degree in respiratory therapy is required; a BA/BS is preferred. 24 hours per week with day shift and sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate’s degree in respiratory therapy required (or equivalent). BA/BS or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery methods and equipment; conducts prescribed therapies.
• Administers, monitors, and assesses therapeutic procedures; performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilation; understands critical care duties.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations on plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and communicates results to the healthcare team; uses EMR interface.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and interprets results; supports patient care decisions.
• Works independently across patient care areas; proficient in the EMR system.
