Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to provide direct patient care per physician orders and to consult on therapy effectiveness. This role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

Shift is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a sign-on bonus incentive up to $10,000. Candidates must be a graduate of a CoArc approved program, hold an RCP license and NBRC RRT credential; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and act as an advanced resource for clinical staff.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervision and department needs.

Shift: 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
