Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care and consult on respiratory therapies. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, acting as a key respiratory resource. A state-licensed RCP with NBRC RRT is required; ACLS is preferred for senior roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in state.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER coworkers (if in ER).
• ACLS preferred.

Position Details

• Mercy Hospital St. Louis
• 615 S New Ballas RdSaint Louis, MO 63141
• Shift: 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM
• Sign-On-Bonus incentive included up to $10,000

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
• Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
• Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
