Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders. This role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff, consulting on therapy effectiveness and ensuring quality patient outcomes.

The position at Mercy Hospital St. Louis involves night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, requires a CoARC-approved education, an active RCP license, and the NBRC RRT credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license per state requirements.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; PALS if ER coworker is involved.

Eligible for shift differential!

Shift:

7 pm-7 am

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
