Job summary

Mercy Hospital Saint Louis is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies under physician orders. You will consult with physicians regarding therapy effectiveness and support nursing staff as an advanced respiratory care resource.

The role requires RRT certification, state licensure as an RCP, and ACLS is preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered, with 36 hours per week and 7:30am–5:00pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• RRT credential required by NBRC.
• PALS is required for ER coworkers.

• Perform direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders.

Shift: 4 - 9 hours shifts 7:30am - 5:00pm

Days - : 36 hours per week

Eligible for Shift Differential!

• Education: Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Pulmonary Function testing experience.
