Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physician orders. You will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Licensure as an RCP, NBRC RRT credential, and graduation from a CoARC-approved program are required; PALS is needed for ER personnel. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits to support your career and patient care goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC.
• For co-workers in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
