Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care across respiratory therapies in line with physician orders. In this role you will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as a key resource for the care team.

Ideal candidates hold a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program, an active RCP license, and the NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER staff; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Perform duties as assigned.
