Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and collaborate with physicians on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for both physicians and nursing staff, performing duties as assigned.

Qualifications include graduation from a CoArc approved program, current RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential; PALS may be required for ER colleagues, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC.
• PALS required for ER coworkers.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in respiratory care per physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
