Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

The role requires an RCP license, NBRC RRT credential, and PALS for ER staff, with ACLS as a preferred credential. Responsibilities include working with the respiratory care team in a fast-paced clinical setting,

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
