Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care practitioner to perform direct patient care across all respiratory therapy modalities under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and support nursing staff as an advanced resource in respiratory care.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential. ER roles may require PALS; ACLS is a preferred credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program with current RCP licensure.
• RN clinical knowledge as applicable to respiratory care; PALS for ER if applicable.
• No prior experience required; critical care exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as a resource for nursing staff.
• Operate respiratory care equipment and adhere to safety and licensure requirements.
