Job summary

Qualifications include graduation from a CoArc approved program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER staff, with ACLS as a preferred certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC.
• PALS is required for workers in the Emergency Room (ER).
• ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
