Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy department on a full-time night schedule. The role involves leading patient assessments, delivering advanced respiratory treatments, and supporting the emergency resuscitation team to ensure patient safety.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and comprehensive benefits. Eligible candidates must hold BLS, RCP credentials, and NBRC certification, with ALS/NRP/PALS

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date or transfer date required (AHA/ARC accepted).
• RCP credentialed from OK Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
• NBRC Respiratory Therapist credential required before hire date/date transfer.
• ALS preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).
• NRP certification preferred (AAP).
• PALS preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).
• Education: HS diploma equivalency with 2 years experience OR Associate/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient assessments to design personalized care plans addressing respiratory needs.
• Manage advanced respiratory treatments and life-support equipment to ensure stability and safety.
• Educate patients and families to empower health management and confidence.
• Support life-saving efforts as a key member of the emergency resuscitation team.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
