Job summary

Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy department. You will perform patient assessments, design care plans, and help manage life-support equipment to improve patient outcomes.

The role offers full-time daytime shifts with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and a comprehensive benefits package as described, including tuition assistance and wellness resources.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Certificate in Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient assessments to design personalized respiratory care plans.
• Manage advanced respiratory treatments and life-support equipment.
• Educate patients and families to manage their health journey.
• Support life-saving efforts as a key member of the emergency resuscitation team.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
