Responsibilities:
- The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients for appropriate treatment and develop care plans based on diagnoses in ICU, ER, and general floors.
- The RT will implement and monitor patient care plans using decisive judgment.
- The RT will monitor, record, communicate patient conditions, and perform advanced respiratory procedures.
- The RT will evaluate therapy effectiveness; administer medications and treatments based on patient outcomes.
- The RT will educate patients and families about health conditions.
- The RT will respond to rapid responses and code blue situations.
- Must be able to work in stressful environments with minimal supervision.
- Current MI license, BLS, and ACLS required; NRP and PALS preferred.
- Work with patients of all ages, primarily adults.
Preferred Certifications & Clearance:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
