Job description

Responsibilities:

• The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients for appropriate treatment and develop care plans based on diagnoses in ICU, ER, and general floors.
• The RT will implement and monitor patient care plans using decisive judgment.
• The RT will monitor, record, communicate patient conditions, and perform advanced respiratory procedures.
• The RT will evaluate therapy effectiveness; administer medications and treatments based on patient outcomes.
• The RT will educate patients and families about health conditions.
• The RT will respond to rapid responses and code blue situations.
• Must be able to work in stressful environments with minimal supervision.
• Current MI license, BLS, and ACLS required; NRP and PALS preferred.
• Work with patients of all ages, primarily adults.

Preferred Certifications & Clearance:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
