We Are Hiring

• Department: Respiratory Care
• Schedule:PRN
  • 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
  • Some weekdays and weekends required.
• Hospital:Ascension Sacred Heart Bay
• Location: Panama City, Florida

What You Will Do

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
• Evaluate respiratory practices, administration of medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other programs.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire or transfer date required.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.

Additional Preferences

ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
