Mercy Hospital St. Louis - Respiratory is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and support nursing staff as an advanced respiratory care resource.

Qualifications include a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential; ACLS is preferred and PALS may be required for ER work. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 applies.

• Must have completed a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; PALS for ER if applicable.

Education : Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.

Licensure : Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.

Certifications : Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.

Other : Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Education : Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Experienc e: Prefer critical care experience.
