Adventist HealthCare’s Outpatient Imaging team in Germantown, MD seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, assist radiologists, and uphold ALARA principles in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an AMA/JRCERT-accredited radiography education, ARRT(R) certification, Maryland license, and BLS; 1 year radiography experience is preferred. 40-hour work week, day shift.

Outpatient Imaging - Germantown

Adventist HealthCare’s Outpatient Imaging team seeks to hire a Registered Radiologic Technologist for our Germantown, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will:

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies including portables, fluoroscopy and OR cases. Properly identify patients, reviews orders and selects diagnostic x-ray protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care.
• Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems applicable to diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS, Envision).
• Assist the radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures.
• Be knowledgeable and practice ALARA principles including proper shielding of patients.
• Understand types, amount and administration of various contrast media and is able to react in response to adverse contrast reactions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform "front desk" and "transporter" responsibilities as required to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain schedule with a flexible attitude to accommodate variable volume.
• Assist in orienting new employees, and training radiography students.
• Participate in PI projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• High school or GED
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography/and OR associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred)
• 1 years radiography experience preferred
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) R.T.(R)
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Typical Daily Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30AM- 5:00PM; Ideal candidate would be willing to perform DEXA, willing to train

Pay Range:

$32.17 - $48.25
