Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is hiring a Registered Radiology Tech for White Oak Medical Center in Maryland. You will perform diagnostic imaging, assist radiologists, and ensure patient safety under ALARA principles.

Qualifications include AMA/JRCERT Radiography education, ARRT RT, Maryland license and BLS. Per Diem position with weekend shifts and $45 per hour, 12 hours per week, with differential eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school or GED.
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography.
• 2 years radiography experience preferred.
• ARRT (RT) certification.
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
• Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging studies including portables, fluoroscopy and OR cases.
• Accurately documents in HIS, RIS, PACS, Envision.
• Assists radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures.
• Adheres to ALARA principles including shielding.
• Manages contrast media administration and reactions.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment.
• Performs front desk and transporter responsibilities as needed.
• Keeps a flexible schedule to handle variable volume.
• Supports orientation of new staff and radiography students.
• Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned.

As an Registered Radiology Techt, you will:

• Performs diagnostic imaging studies including portables, fluoroscopy and OR cases. Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects diagnostic x-ray protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care.
• Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS, Envision).
• Assists the radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures.
• Knowledgeable and practices ALARA principles including proper shielding of patients.
• Understands types, amount and administration of various contrast media and is able to react in response to adverse contrast reactions.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Performs “front desk” and “transporter” responsibilities as required to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintains schedule with a flexible attitude to accommodate variable volume.
• Assists in orienting new employees, and training radiography students.
• Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned.
