Job summary

Kootenai Health in Idaho seeks a Registered Radiologic Technologist - Mammography to operate imaging equipment, perform radiographic, fluoroscopic and mammography procedures, and educate patients on the importance of regular screening.

You will support radiologists, review diagnostic data for completeness, maintain safety standards, and contribute to a compassionate, patient‑centered imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology required.
• ARRT Mammography certification required within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and assist radiologists in radiologic/fluoroscopic examinations and needle localization procedures.
• Review diagnostic data for completeness and accuracy.
• Assess patient status prior to department discharge and maintain safety standards.
• Perform a variety of radiologic tasks and related duties as assigned.

Registered Radiologic Technologist - Mammography

Position Summary

Operates equipment and performs various radiographic/fluoroscopic and mammography related procedures. Explains procedures and educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and assists radiologists in completion of radiologic/ fluoroscopic examinations and completion of needle localization and stereotactic procedures
• Reviews all diagnostic data for completeness and accuracy
• Assesses the patient's physical and mental status prior to discharge from the department
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiologic technology required
• Professional credentialing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology required
• Professional credentialing with ARRT in Mammography required within one year of hire
• BLS required

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
