Job summary

Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID is seeking a Diagnostic Sonography Assistant trainee or recent graduate to perform ultrasound exams under supervision. You will locate, evaluate, and record functional, pathological, and anatomical data using ultrasound equipment, with RDMS credential eligibility within 90 days.

Responsibilities include scheduling tests, maintaining logs, calibrating equipment, and adhering to standard hospital practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or a recent graduate of an ultrasound program.
• Must be able to obtain RDMS credential within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Job description

Under the direct supervision of a registered sonographer, performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

• Actively enrolled student or a recent graduate of an ultrasound program required; must be able to obtain RDMS credential within 90 days of hire
• BLS required

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift or move up to 35 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
