Job summary

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Morgan is seeking an experienced RN Weekend Supervisor to ensure quality resident care in a Texas skilled nursing setting. You will oversee nursing staff, monitor patient conditions, administer medications as prescribed, and coordinate with physicians and families on care plans.

The role requires an active Texas RN license, prior SNF experience, and strong communication skills to document assessments, report changes, and maintain regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Must be an active Registered Nurse in Texas in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• During rounds, observe, assess, document and report resident condition changes.
• Administers medications as prescribed and ensures care plans are followed.
• Conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in the clinical records.
• Oversees and monitors aides and performs narcotic reconciliation.
• Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy.
• Discharge residents according to facility policy and complete required assessments.

Primary ResponsibilitiesThe RN Weekend Supervisor will assist in ensuring the provision of quality care that promotes the highest practicable physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident as determined by resident assessments and individual plans of care.Essential FunctionsDuring rounds observes, assess, documents, and reports resident condition/changesAssures implementation of care plans as directedAdministers medications as prescribedConduct rounds with physician and record visits in clinical recordsPerform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shiftsIdentify significant changes in the condition of residents and takes necessary action per facility policies and proceduresOversees and monitors aidesInitiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policyDischarge residents per facility policyMust complete Nursing Assessment for Physician Calls prior to calling physician on any change in resident conditionCommunicate with resident’s point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in conditionOther special projects or functions can be assigned at times by the Director of Nurses and/or the AdministratorEducational/Training RequirementsHas completed a RN program at an accredited vocational school, college, or universityLicensing RequirementsMust be an active Registered Nurse in the state of Texas in good standingExperience RequirementsExperience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative but not necessary all inclusive, of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
