Job summary

Community Memorial Health System seeks a registered nurse to provide general nursing care in a hospital setting, ensuring clear patient and family education and meticulous documentation.

You will participate in unit-based education and cross-train in PCU as needed to support department goals and patient outcomes. Current CA RN license with BLS/ACLS is required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN License required.
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required.
• Six months of acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent.
• Stroke/Sepsis education competency within 6 months of hire.

Compensation

Salary Range: $50.75 - $78.45 per hour DOE

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities

Position Overview: Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital by performing the following duties; effectively plan and communicate patient and family education. Participates in unit based educational activities. Accurate and timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy. Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and comprehension.

Cross train in PCU per department needs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent
• Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• One (1) or more years previous Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
• Certification for Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN)
• Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
