Ascension in Austin, TX, seeks an experienced OR Nurse Supervisor to lead Licensed Registered Nurse teams, coordinate staffing and patient assignments, and drive safe, high-quality care across shifts. The role partners with leadership to promote clinical excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.

You will foster a positive team culture, manage daily workflow, and address equipment and supply needs while aligning with safety and patient satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Texas Board of Nursing)
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• BLS within 30 days of hire
• PALS preferred

• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing and support staff while promoting clinical excellence, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Responsible for ensuring daily service line needs are met, supporting the team through education, precepting, facilitating daily workflow, and equipment/supply needs. The OR supervisor aligns and partners with leadership in driving unit goals, safety/quality initiatives, patient and physician satisfaction, and in supporting a positive team culture.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 1 plus years of OR RN experience.
• OR Charge RN experience.
• Level 1 trauma experience.
• 36 hours per week Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30am - 7pm. No on call and holiday on rotation.
