Ascension is seeking a driven nurse leader in Austin, TX, to oversee daily unit operations and ensure high-quality patient care at Dell Children’s Medical Center. The role requires guiding staffing, training and performance evaluation while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a Texas RN license, and a BLS certification, with at least 3 years of experience including leadership.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflows, nursing resources and care delivery for assigned units.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Direct the full talent lifecycle from recruitment and training to staff development and evaluation.
• Design policies to optimize patient care services and drive quality improvement.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
