The Alden Network is seeking a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on a daily basis. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, policies, and best practices to maintain high quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois or Wisconsin.
• CPR certificate required or must obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures.
• Experience caring for the aged is preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, staff, and the public.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; work harmoniously with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsabilités

• Accepts and supports directives from appropriate authority and handles multiple tasks as assigned.
• Directs nursing procedures and policies to ensure compliance with established care plans.
• Supervises nursing assistants and maintains quality of care across shifts.
• Ensures adherence to dress code and departmental policies.
• Develops and documents care plans for customers with identified needs.
• Participates in care conferences and coordinates with physicians and families.
• Completes admissions, discharges, and required assessments.
• Manages medication administration and treatment orders as prescribed.
