Job summary

Lake City Care Center, part of Mayo Clinic Health System and Ebenezer, seeks an RN for the TCU unit in Lake City, MN. The weekend part-time shift covers 16 hours biweekly on day shift with alternating weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities include monitoring care plans, administering medications, and documenting changes. Requires MN RN license, BLS/CPR, and 0–1 year experience. 401(k) option and PTO benefits are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Registered Nurse.
• Current MN RN license.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required within three weeks of hire; proof of enrollment acceptable before start.
• 0-1 years of experience.

• Monitors personal cares to align with each plan of care.
• Administers medications and treatments per orders and policies.
• Provides data for care plan development.
• Assesses plan of care, resident goals and revises as needed.
• Prepares reports and documents incidents and changes in status.

Job Overview

TheRegistered Nurse (RN) provides for and assists in meeting the TCU (transitional care unit) adult patients’ physical, emotional and psycho-social needs while adhering to facility, state and federal guidelines for Mayo health services skilled nursing facility - Lake City Care Center in Lake City, MN.

Weekend part-time Nursing schedule includes;

• 16 hours every two weeks
• Day shift
• Every other weekend Sat/Sunday and holiday rotation

• Monitors personal cares provided to assure consistency with each individual plan of care
• Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies
• Provides data relevant to the development of the plan of care
• RN – Assesses plan of care, resident goals and revises, modify plan of care as necessary
• Provides reports and documentation related to incidents, change of status and cares provided

Required

• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Registered Nurse
• Current MN RN license
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
  • BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification. BLS certification must be obtained within three-weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice
• 0-1 years of experience
