Job summary

Lake City Care Center seeks an RN to provide comprehensive care to transitional care unit patients in Lake City, MN. The role emphasizes adherence to state and federal guidelines and collaboration with a skilled nursing team.

The RN will monitor care plans, administer medications, and document progress while supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. A strong foundation in nursing with BLS certification is required, with loan reimbursement and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and appropriate nursing education are required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required within 3 weeks of hire.
• 0–1 year of nursing experience is required.
• TCU/LPN-RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document patient care per care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide data to support care planning and updates.
• Assess and revise plans of care with patient goals.
• Document incidents and changes in patient status.

Job Overview

Shift differentials of $1.00 evenings and $1.50 nights

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides for and assists in meeting the TCU (transitional care unit) adult patients’ physical, emotional and psycho-social needs while adhering to facility, state and federal guidelines for Mayo health services skilled nursing facility - Lake City Care Center in Lake City, MN.

Nursing schedule includes;

• 16 hours every two weeks
• Day shift
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Full Benefits package including RN student loan reimbursment program

Lake City Care Center Careers (ebenezercares.org)

• Monitors personal cares provided to assure consistency with each individual plan of care
• Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies
• Provides data relevant to the development of the plan of care
• RN – Assesses plan of care, resident goals and revises, modify plan of care as necessary
• Provides reports and documentation related to incidents, change of status and cares provided

Required:

• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Registered Nurse
• Current MN RN license
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
  • BLS is required upon hire and/or new hire must show proof that they are currently enrolled in a BLS class to renew or obtain their certification. BLS certification must be obtained within three-weeks of hire date and before nurse can perform independent practice
• 0-1 years of experience

Preferred:

• 0-3 years of experience
• TCU LPN/RN experience
