Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Float Pool in Newark, NJ. The role requires an active NJ RN license (or multistate with NJ endorsement) and BLS certification.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with at least 1 year of Telemetry/step-down experience. The position is full-time with a day shift, night differential, and every-other-weekend scheduling.

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of Telemetry/Medical-Surgical hospital experience required

Scheduling Requirements

• Full Time
• Night Shift - 7:00pm - 7:30am
• Every other weekend required.

Essential Functions

The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital’s Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance-improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through the organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. An understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient’s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.
