Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking an experienced RN for the Telemetry Float Pool. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring patient safety across shift changes.

Active NJ RN license with BLS is required; bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, with 1+ year telemetry/medical-surgical experience. Full-time night shift 7:00pm–7:30am, every other weekend, benefits included.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of Telemetry/Medical-Surgical hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff per NJ Nurse Practice Act.
• Implement patient care plans and monitor patient progress in Telemetry.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure effective treatment and safety.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement

Essential Functions:

The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance-improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through the organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. An understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.
