MaineHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Special Care Unit (ICU/SCU) at Lincoln Hospital. This is a full-time, 36-hour weekly day shift position with a sign-on bonus for eligible RNs based on experience. Eligible candidates include nurses with 0–2 years or more than 2 years of RN experience.
Requirements include valid RN licensure, BSN preferred, BLS, ACLS/PALS within specified timelines, and fetal monitoring competency. Per diems are ineligible.

This is a Full-time, 36 hour/week, Day shift position.
The Special Care Unit is an 8-bed ICU/Step-Down Unit, where nurses are responsible for conducting complex assessments and providing intensive therapies and interventions to a variety of patients. Nurses have the opportunity to care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure, cardiac events, sepsis, metabolic disorders, complex surgical recoveries, and more. This department has a great collaborative team with the ancillary departments and the physicians/surgeons.
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I - must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.
