Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit on the night shift. You will provide high-quality patient care, perform timely assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment.

This PCU role focuses on patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills while preserving time for meaningful patient connections.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
• ACLS within six months of hire.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
