Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama, seeks a Nurse Manager for the Critical Care Stepdown/Progressive Care unit to lead a high-acuity team and drive patient-centered outcomes.

The role requires a BSN, Alabama RN license, 3+ years in medical-surgical nursing with 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, and a proven ability to manage budgets, analytics, and staff development. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• BSN required and Alabama RN license.
• 3+ years in medical-surgical nursing with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build effective relationships.
• Experience with budgeting, financial management and resource allocation in acute care.
• BLS required and ACLS preferred (or obtained within defined timeframe).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable leader for all aspects of Critical Care.
• Drive continuous improvement in outcomes, cost of care, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with quality leadership to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Coordinate with service line leaders, facility leadership, and system executives to provide patient-centered care.
• Support provider and staff recruitment, retention, and engagement.
• Demonstrate values through inspirational leadership and a commitment to patient-centered outcomes.
• Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to enhance coordination and service delivery.
• Oversee ongoing staff education, competency, and adherence to clinical and patient safety standards.

The Critical Care Department (CCU)at North Alabama Medical Center (NAMC)in Florence, Alabama offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment that bridges critical care and medical-surgical nursing. What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current Alabama RN license (or eligible for licensure).
• Three or more years of experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build effective relationships team.
• Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in acute care settings.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement performance‑improvement initiatives.
• BLS required and ACLS preferred (or obtained within a defined timeframe).
