Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate patient care on a 7AM-7:30PM shift. You will join a team to manage admissions, assessments, and care plans using EPIC documentation.

The role requires an RN license, BLS at hire, and at least 1 year of RN experience in acute or rehabilitation settings. Per diem shifts offer mileage reimbursement and opportunities for advancement within a large rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Valid state RN license required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Minimum 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Receiving admissions and/or transfers.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry.
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Instructing and counseling patients/families.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: 1199 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), 7AM-7:30PM (Days)(Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $54.00/Hour +Shift Differential

Responsibilities

On each shift, you will partner with a Nursing Assistant and handle a manageable case load. Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• BLS required at hire
• Minimum of 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred
• Clinical experience preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule. One Saturday or Sunday, one minor holiday/ major holiday.
